The European Union issued a statement saying that the current sanctions against Russia will be extended until February 25 next year. The previous 12 rounds of sanctions will remain in place for one year, until February 25, 2025, the statement said. On February 21, the EU member states will vote on the 13th round of sanctions against Russia. Hungary's foreign minister said earlier that it was pointless for the EU to impose more sanctions on Russia and would only damage the EU economy. But he added that Budapest would not veto the plan.
